Project Service Gives Back to Homeless

Posted: Updated:

Twenty-seven agencies came together to help out the homeless in our community.

Project Service's goal is to reach out to the homeless with a number of services from financial information to clothes and haircuts.

All of the services were available under one roof at the Bismarck Public Library.

"This is a pretty huge deal because if we're a community as we say we are then this is our problem. It's not just their problem. So, as a result for me, it has to be part of the solution which is the desire for the coalition that we as communities come together to be a part of the solution to get rid of homelessness to see it decrease and eventually go away," says Paul Herr the president of the Missouri Valley Coalition for Homeless People.

This is the sixth year Project Service has been available to the Bismarck-Mandan community.
