Chiropractors Find Benefits in Using Graston Technique

Posted: Updated:
Whether you've gone to the chiropractor for back pain, muscle spasms or a sports injury, chances are the doctor used their hands to manipulate the muscles or joints.

It's called the Graston technique, and chiropractors tell me by using stainless steel instruments they can pinpoint fibrotic tissue a lot easier.

The technique is done by moving the instrument back and forth across the skin, and when the doctor runs over a problem-area, they can feel a vibration through the instrument.

"Usually most patients, after one treatment, notice a change in their tissues. They feel like they're movement is better. It helps to decrease their pain relief quickly," says Jamie Kahl of Southridge Chiropractic Clinic.
