Police Arrest Man in Stabbing Incident

Posted: Updated:
A man is facing attempted murder charges after stabbing someone outside a Bismarck hotel early this morning.

Bismarck police tell us they received a call at about 6:30 a.m. from the Budget Inn on 122 East Thayer Ave. The 37-year-old Bismarck man was pounding on hotel room doors while screaming and yelling. He then went into someone's vehicle and began going through the items inside. One of the hotel guests heard the racket and came out of his room to confront the suspect.

When officers got to the hotel, they found the man who confronted the suspect had been stabbed once in the chest. Police say the suspect was still at the scene when they got there, but would not comply with officers, so they ended up tazing him.

The victim was taken to Sanford Medical Center.
