Police Arrest Minot Shooter

The Minot Police Department arrested a man who they say shot a 44-year-old woman on June 15.

Robert Putney Jr., 31, was charged on June 16 for aggravated assault and driving under the influence after he was stopped for speeding. When officers approached the vehicle they saw Putney was driving a woman with a gunshot wound to the hospital.

Putney has been in custody at the Ward County Jail ever since, but now faces charges for shooting the woman.

    Before every sporting event it's tradition to sing the national anthem and only those certified can sing it. This summer the International Music Camp partnered with the North Dakota American Legion to certify several campers. One of them is a Bismarck native.
