Police Search for Purse Snatcher

Posted: Updated:

An 89-year-old woman had her purse stolen from her in the parking lot of Walmart Wednesday morning.

Some eyewitnesses were able to give a general description of the suspects and their vehicle, but now, thanks to the eye in the sky, they have images to work with.

"We've worked with Walmart to get some video and still shots of the vehicle and of the suspects that were involved in it," said Capt. John Klug of the Minot Police Department. "We've come up with a couple pictures of the actual subjects that were involved in the purse snatching. We're looking for some help from the public in identifying these individuals at this time."

According to the eyewitness accounts, the thief, a white male in his 20s, was wearing a black hoodie and had a goatee.

He then ran to a waiting car, described as a silver Pontiac Grand Prix.

Anyone with information is urged to call the PD at 852-0111.

You can also give information anonymously through the Crime Stoppers program by calling (701) 85CRIME (852-7463).
