Forest Service Offers Holiday Reminders

With Independence Day around the corner, the U.S. Forest Service has a few reminders for visitors and campers. 

· All fireworks and other pyrotechnic devices are always prohibited on National Grasslands National Forests.

· Cross-county travel with motor vehicles is not allowed anywhere on the National Grasslands.

· On the Little Missouri National Grassland motor vehicle travel is allowed on established roads only.

· On the Grand River, Cedar River and Sheyenne National Grasslands motor vehicle travel is allowed only on those roads designated on the unit’s Motor Vehicle Use Map.

· Pack out what you pack in.

· Report any vandalism to local law enforcement.

· Campfires should never be left unattended, and vehicles should be parked in areas free of tall grass.
