Water Rise Near Foxholm

Posted: Updated:
The past couple of days have been filled with rain, and that has river levels rising.

Today, employees from the U.S Geological Survey out of Bismarck were at the Souris River near Foxholm to measure water levels. Right now, the river is one foot higher than it was at Spring time.

"Well it came down for a while here, but with all this rain the stages went up, which is the water level of the river, which increases the discharge," says Jarvis Caderlik of the U.S. Geological Survey.

Because of the rain, Caderlik says the control they use for the river is actually under water right now.
