Minot Celebrates Solstice at Scandinavian Park

Posted: Updated:

The summer solstice is celebrated in every Scandinavian country at this time of year.

After a little bit of rain it turned out to be a beautiful night to celebrate the solstice right here in Minot at our very own Scandinavian Park. People came out to enjoy dinner, music, and the buildings were even open until 7:30.

“The buildings are all Scandinavian so we just like to tie into the celebration that they have in the original Scandinavian countries, just to keep that heritage going."

There was also a flag ceremony to honor the Scandinavian, U.S, and Canadian flags.
