A Spokane,Wash. man lead police on a high speed chase in Mandan this morning.

Around 1 a.m. police we're called to investigate a fight involving a gun and when they arrived on scene the individuals involved had left. Authorities spotted one of the vehicles on East Main St. and attempted a traffic stop.

The Nissan Altima, driven by William Plump III, sped away and officers attempted to catch up to it. The pursuit was called off due to high speeds. Police caught up to Plump on Memorial Bridge after he had hit another vehicle. There were no injuries in the accident.

Plump was charged with a DUI, possession of marijuana, hydrocodone and driving with an open container, reckless driving, leaving the scene of an accident, failure to wear a seatbelt and driving without a license.

He also had several outstanding warrants for probation violations.
