If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it might be a new addition to a familiar downtown restaurant. In this week's Inside Business Jim Christianson takes us inside The Pond.
Ryan Ellingson, they saw a need for more variety in the local food and entertainment scene.
"The freshness of the food as well as the creativity. We're kinda hitting all aspects for everyone, whether you want a good pasta for dinner or a light sandwich for lunch, we have healthy all the way up to the good down hearty meals."
The Pond includes a full-service bar, a second-level seating area with balconies and an outdoor patio with a stage for local musicians on Thursdays and Fridays in the summertime.
"I really think that the exposure that we have with the lights and the windows, and we have a couple of decks and a large new patio with a stage. It's really something different that the city's been waiting for."
The Pond combines family food and fun to take dining and entertainment to a brand new level in Downtown.
"The purpose of The Pond is for everyone to be able to come and enjoy something new and different that Bismarck hasn't been able to offer before."
The new space has added seating capacity as well as new menu items.
"The whole operation we're just over 200 people. This is such a great addition and we've done so much with the space and allowed so many people to sit in different areas. There's a lot of room for everybody."
Lucky Ducks and The Pond are both open seven days a week. The Pond stays open until 1:00 am Monday through Friday.
