Discover the Dinosaurs Makes a Stop in Bismarck

Posted: Updated:
Roaring, running and roaming dinosaurs filled the Bismarck Civic Center this weekend for a prehistoric family event.

Discover the Dinosaurs is a hands on exhibit for the entire family. More than 40 moving replica dinosaurs gave visitors the chance to get up close and personal with some of the most infamous creatures. The walk-through exhibit represents different scenes from a period of time that best reflects when the dinosaurs lived. And the show manager says they wanted to give people an opportunity to learn about dinosaurs in a fun way.

"We wanted to make it a little bit more unique than exhibits at the museum or any other exhibits that's going on out there," says show manager Tracy Beasley. "We wanted to make it a more hands-on feel, make them move type of exhibits, so that's what we wanted to try and put on with the education behind it. And the fun area we have behind it, it's been very successful as to what we wanted to do"

Discover the Dinosaurs tours the country, but this is the first time the event came to North Dakota.
