Minot Voters Hit The Polls

Posted: Updated:

It's a big voting day across the state of North Dakota. Voters hit the polls today to voice their opinions on various positions in Minot and in Ward County. It’s been a steady stream of residents casting their ballots on a variety of different positions.

From the next Minot City Mayor to openings on city council, the ballots were packed front and back with potential candidates. Here at Maysa Arena, they had a temporary set back early this morning that caused polling computers to be offline for about an hour, but that didn't stop the voting process.

"We did some handwriting and everything is resolved. IT came over and took care of that. And, the day has been really good,” says Brenda Willoughby a Maysa Arena Inspector.

If you haven't voted yet, you can stop by any of the four polling locations in the city. We'll have the results for you as soon as it becomes available.
