Don't Buy It Until We Try It: Orgreenic Ceramic Green Jelly Roll Pan

Posted: Updated:

Making sweet treats takes a lot of time and energy, especially when it comes to taking them off the cookie sheet. Well, there may be a better way to bake some of your favorite desserts, without all the mess.

The mixer is running and the oven is fired up, as baker Crystal Shorb is working on a batch of homemade chocolate chip cookies.

"I have cookie pans that are just for cookies. They don't get, 'quote on quote,' washed with soap because the soap is what will stick. So, they're seasoned. They're older pans," says Crystal Shorb the owner of Shorb’s Sweets.

We're going to find out if the Orgreenic Ceramic Green Non-Stick Jelly Roll Pan will help us cut down on clean-up time.

"Well, hopefully it will work. And then, if something happens to my pan, I have one I know I can go out and purchase," says Shorb.

One by one, we placed the cookies on the non-stick pan, no PAM spray required.

"We'll see how fast these cook," says Shorb.

Typically, Shorb bakes cookies for about eight minutes, but with the Orgreenic Ceramic pan, it was closer to 10 minutes.

"It cooked a little longer, but they came out just fine. A little puffier than normal, but as long as they still taste excellent quality, then it should be fine," says Shorb.

As we began to remove the cookies, you'll notice there's some condensation left on the pan, which is actually a good thing.

"That's keeping the moisture in, so they will slide off. Whereas if they suck all the moisture out, it's going to make it stick," says Shorb.

Now, it's time for the official taste test. You can tell I got a little excited, so I'm going to try it again. It's delicious, moist and golden brown on the bottom."

"I would have to say it's a thumbs up because they didn't stick," says Shorb.
