North Dakota Leads The Way In Housing

Posted: Updated:
North Dakota is making headlines once again. The Peace Garden state continues to lead the nation in housing development.

For the third year in a row, North Dakota developed housing faster than any other state in the country. North Dakota added more than 10,000 new housing units in 2013. That's a growth rate of just over 3 percent, which is ten times greater than the national average, according to the U.S. Census Bureau.

Here locally, Ward County ranked number four in the nation's top 100 counties for housing growth. In 2013, Ward County added almost 1,500  new housing units, a 5.1 percent increase.
