Judge Sentences Man For Explicit Materials

Posted: Updated:
A Fargo man faces nine and a half years in prison for possessing materials that sexually exploit minors.

Authorities took an interest in Tyler Allen, 28, after an agent with the North Dakota Bureau of Investigations, assigned to the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, discovered a computer in North Dakota that was sharing child porn. The computer was traced to Allen's apartment in South Fargo.

After searching his home, police found more than 3,400 images and 175 videos depicting child porn.

When Allen is released, he faces 10 years of supervision. The judge also ordered him to pay $1,000 in restitution.
