Posted: Updated:
The Bismarck Police Department released its annual crime and traffic analysis. In most of the categories there was a decrease, however the department is concerned about crimes against property.

Bismarck Police Chief Dan Donlin says a lot of the crimes are of opportunity. Simple things like locking your home and car doors go a long way in preventing crimes.

Some of the more interesting stats this year are: There were no traffic fatalities in Bismarck, and the average blood alcohol content for DUI drivers was .172 by weight, .08 is the legal limit.

Donlin also says the staff is down by four officers right now.
