Minot School Board Raises Lunch Prices

Posted: Updated:

If your child gets a hot lunch at school, you may have to give them a few cents more come next school year.

In compliance with the Healthy Hunger Free Kids Act guidelines, Minot Public Schools has gradually increased the price of school lunches.

Monday, the school board approved a slight increase in the price of school lunches for the 2014-2015 school year. Elementary lunch prices will increase by 15 cents while middle and high school lunch prices will only increase by 10 cents.

These numbers are still lower than the national average of $2.67.
