Posted: Updated:
A University of North Dakota team is launching a rocket in national competition.

The group of three students and one faculty member is competing against 15 other teams in today's event on the Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah.
The UND rocket is expected to fly to six thousand 200 feet using an L850 rocket motor. The project includes testing on whether liquid fuel is wasted in zero gravity situations.
The adviser is Tim Young, a professor in physics and astrophysics.
