Dickinson Hosting "Spring into Downtown" Event

Posted: Updated:

It seems like all the action in Dickinson is on the outskirts of town, where new retail and housing is going up daily. Now, the Downtown Dickinson Association wants to bring some attention back to the city's center.

The group is sponsoring Spring Into Downtown tomorrow from 10 AM to 4 PM. The alley behind Brickhouse to Bogey's will be closed, and local food and arts will be set up for the public. Downtown stores owners say it's good for both the community and the Downtown area.

"As local business owners, you have that ownership. So that's what you're going to find downtown, you're going to find amazing products that you're not going to find anyplace else. You're going to find amazing customer service. We're so excited to see the new faces and we're really happy to be having the event tomorrow," says Jayme Heick, a downtown store owner.

"I think Downtown is always the heartbeat of any community, so it's a really great way to get our blood flowing throughout the community and create that fellowship within our community," Cami Havelka, also a downtown store owner.

There will also be kids activities throughout the day.
