Posted: Updated:
The state is investing $409 million to improve traffic in Western North Dakota. Governor Jack Dalrymple says the bypasses will provide greatly need traffic relief to the growing communities and enhance road safety.

The New Town Truck Reliever Route will reroute truck traffic and provide a permanent truck bypass for the community.

The two-lane project will cost about $25 million and is expected to be completed this year.

Four lane projects are also planned for Williston, Watford City and Alexander.

The largest investment will be the Willliston Truck Reliever Route, which will cost about $162 million and will be constructed over the next two construction seasons.
