Fire Department Responds To Semi Fire

Around 1 a.m., the Bismarck Fire Department responded to a semi-truck fire at the Stamart truck stop on Divide Ave.

When fire fighters arrived, the semi's trailer, carrying a load of potatoes, was beginning to burn. The owner had been sleeping in the truck, but was awaken by a bystander and escaped with no injuries.

Crews were able to put the fire out quickly, but the truck was a total loss.
