Sensational Sundays at Bismarck Heritage Center

Posted: Updated:
Sundays are usually a day to kick back and relax, but at the Heritage Center in Bismarck it's a day to learn too.

Sensational Sundays are free educational programs open to the public on a wide variety of subjects. Today the program was about waterfowl across the state, and the presenter was an expert from Ducks Unlimited to coincide with the center's birds in art exhibit. And organizers say they see a lot of local and out of town visitors.

"I think some locals even forget that long lake just east of town is a great place to go birding and see local birds, but if you want to go somewhere where there is no rain and its warm you can come to the Heritage Center see the birds on exhibit, the birds in art and maybe catch a public program," says Visitor Services Coordinator Beth Campbell.

The next free public program is this Friday at 7 p.m.
