Bismarck Boy Receives Special Surprise

Posted: Updated:
You remember Dash...the seven-year-old Bismarck boy who is suffering from Leukemia. Well thanks to Sanford Health, his spirits have been taken to new heights.

Earlier this morning, Dash was brought out to the airport for a pretty unique surprise. Sanford AirMed Service took Dash and his brother on a ride above Bismarck in the medical helicopter. And his mom says it's days like today that keep everyone positive.

"It honestly makes me speechless what everybody is doing. Never thought we would be in this situation, where we have a child with cancer. And it's amazing what the community has done," says Dash's mom, Kara Ohlsen.

There is also a charity motorcycle ride on Sunday the 18th at noon. It leaves from the Freedom Riders Club House.
