Napoleon Battles High Water

Posted: Updated:
Some residents of Napoleon are having to battle high water levels which are threatening to overtake homes and roads. They say subpumps are being run day and night to keep the water from overtaking basements. Napoleon Public School superintendent says although the water levels doesn't affect him, something needs to be done.

"I trust the elected officials will bring in the engineers to really lay something out, as far as possible options. And also part of that is what would happen if nothing gets done? Too many times we look at the cost to do things, but then what are the costs if nothing gets done? " says Superintendent Elroy Bukle.

Napoleon city officials say they're having a meeting with engineers on Monday to look at ways to fix the problem.
