Streets Close For Band Night Parade

Posted: Updated:
Friday is the Band Night Parade. And the Bismarck Police Department reminds drivers not to park on the parade route or their car could be ticketed and towed.

The temporary no parking enforcement begins Friday at 5 p.m., and continues until the parade is over. The parade starts on the Capitol grounds, goes down 6th St. to Ave. C, and then follows 5th St. to the Civic Center. Temporary no parking signs will be put up on Thursday morning along the route.

Violators parked in the no parking zones can expect a $10 ticket. And if their vehicle is towed, they could face a $15 impound fee and a tow bill of $100.

"When the last unit is done with the parade, the people can repark there. So, it might be an hour and a half to two hours, roughly around there," says Lt. Jeff Solemsass of the Bismarck PD.

The Band Night Parade starts at 6:30.
