Organization Helps Fund Amphitheater Project

Posted: Updated:

The Minot Park District is moving forward with its plans to build a new amphitheater at Oak Park, thanks to the generosity of a local organization.

The Minot Area Community Foundation has awarded $100,000 to the Minot Park District as part of an ongoing effort to rebuild the community after the devastating 2011 flood.

The grant along with the funds from the Coca Cola America Is Your Park campaign, will ensure there is enough funding in place to rebuild the facility.

In the last three years, the foundation has reinvested $6.3 million back into the community to help directly with flood recovery efforts.
