Police Arrest Minot Man For Aggravated Assault

Posted: Updated:

A Sunday evening dispute in Northeast Minot leaves one officer injured and multiple people behind bars. Police responded to the 400 block of 9th Ave. Northeast for a report of a neighbor dispute.

When officers arrived on the scene, they smelled marijuana coming from the garage. After a search warrant was issued, officers found drug paraphernalia.

That's when Justin Peterson, 29, revoked his consent to search and became hostile and resistant.

As a result, Peterson fought with one of the officers, breaking his hand in the struggle. He was arrested on multiple offenses.

Three other people were arrested during the incident, including Peterson's mother Brenda for interfering with officers.

Devin Kampman was arrested on drug-related charges and Troy Berger was taken in to custody on an outstanding warrant.
