North Dakota Women of Today Meet in Bismarck

Posted: Updated:
Dedicated to community service, personal growth and building friendships the North Dakota Women of Today met in Bismarck this weekend for their year end convention.

The state's three chapters from Stanley, Dickinson, and Hettinger gathered to discuss goals and upcoming community service initiatives. They also presented their Outstanding Woman of the Year award to Colonel Giselle Wilz of the North Dakota Army National Guard on Saturday. And although the nationwide organization gives its members many opportunities, some say the best part is being able to give back.
"For me I like to the volunteer part helping others and its not just our group but our organization helps other organizations in what their goals are in helping other people and the community just helps build up and that's really big for me," says member, Diane Hellman.
