Souris Valley United Way Bowling Event

Posted: Updated:
Strikes and Spares were getting racked up at North Hill Bowl in Minot, but it wasn't your typical Saturday afternoon at the lanes.

It was the 5th straight year the Souris Valley United Way hosted their charity bowling event.  Thirty eight teams of bowlers hit the lanes for a fun afternoon, and to raise some money for United Way programs in the Magic City. Well over $3,000 was raised yesterday afternoon.
"All of the funds raised through this event are staying locally and are re-invested in our community," says Danielle Cook, Souris Valley United Way. "We have 28 programs under education, income and health that we sponsor. It's really great to let all of the people know that are a part of this that their money is staying and helping the people in Minot."
