Walk to Cure Arthritis Event

Posted: Updated:
50 million Americans are affected by arthritis...and that includes children, so in order to raise funds for research and treatments, the Walk to Cure Arthritis event was held here in Bismarck this morning.

People and animals of all ages came out the Sanford Health Women's Health Center to get prepped and ready to go on a course that wrapped around Tom O'Leary Golf Course. And this year's honorary member of the walk says, although she suffers from arthritis, being involved with the event has made her grateful.

"Having family and friends here supporting along with the other teams it makes a huge difference especially for like seeing the younger kids having people a whole bunch of different ages coming to support I think it really means a lot to everyone," says honorary member, Hailie Doll.
More than $20,000 was raised by the end of the day.
