ONEOK Proposes Natural Gas Plant In Bakken

Posted: Updated:
A gas process plant is setting up shop in the heart of the Bakken. ONEOK  has proposed a $280 million natural gas processing plant near Watford City. Earlier this month industry groups met to discuss reducing flaring in that region, and this new plant could be a key part to the solution.

"It will be one of several plants that Oneok will hopefully get built. You'll have the gas processing plants as part of the equation, pipeline delivery capability, I know MDU is working on a project, as well as Hess continues to expand so it's all part of the puzzle," says Brian Kalk of the Public Service Commission.

The plant would be the second largest in the state behind the Hess Tioga plant. The Public Service Commission has set up a public hearing on June 18. For more information you can visit their website at www.psc.nd.gov.
