Dinosaur Museum Opens For 21st Season

Posted: Updated:
Tomorrow isn't just the start of May, it's also opening day of the Dakota Dinosaur Museum's 21st season.

The museum has 14 full-scale dinosaurs altogether. But Curator Larry League says there's more to the museum than just dinosaurs.
He wants people to know about the extensive rock and mineral collection too.

"Many of them come out of mines that are closed, so you can't get them anymore, they're quite rare. We have invertebrate fossils that we're concentrating on this year, to focus, to let people know," says League.

League says with the oil boom he's expecting a lot more visitors this summer. The museum will be open seven days a week from tomorrow until Labor Day.
