New Minimally Invasive Sinus Surgery

Posted: Updated:
Congestion, facial pain and pressure and drippy noses are all signs of the common cold, but maybe you're not actually sick. It could be a case of a sinus problem that just won’t go away.

Every year, 37 million Americans suffer from chronic sinus problems. Ultimately, 500,000 of those people end up getting sinus surgeries. Now, there's a new minimally invasive procedure called Balloon Sinuplasty that's eliminating much of the pain.

“People can avoid the general anesthesia and having to take a full day off from work. They can resume their normal activities that day and have very little discomfort during the procedure and afterwards,” says Dr. Mark Noel an ear, nose and throat specialist at Trinity Health.

Not only is the pain being cut down, but because the procedure can be done right in the doctor's office, so is the price.
