Spring Parade Of Homes Begins

Posted: Updated:
Whether you're looking for a new home, or just need some decorating inspiration, the spring parade home show displays the latest in design and architecture.

Forty-two homes in the Bismarck-Mandan area will be open for visitors this weekend. One of the builders whose home is part of the parade says that adding character to any type of new construction is key.
"I design something around a story, you know people are going to be able to move in and be able to move in and be able to tell the story to their family and friends. We designed a lot of this home around a pantry that my grandmother had in southwest North Dakota on the farm it was a butler pantry with swinging doors lots of shelves for us kids to go explore in," says Andra Miller of M3 Design Homes.

The parade of homes goes until 8:30 Friday. The cost is $5. To find the weekend hours, go to the Bismarck-Mandan Homebuilders Association website.
