Wyoming Man Drowns in Patterson Lake

A fishing trip near Dickinson over the weekend has left a Wyoming man dead. Jeffrey Hieb, 42, was fishing on Patterson Lake Saturday with his two children when their canoe tipped over, according to the Stark County Sheriff.

A couple in another boat was able to save the two children, ages eight and three. Hieb was taken to St. Joseph's hospital where doctors pronounced him dead.

Patterson Lake is southwest of Dickinson.
