State Receives Grant For Specialty Crops

Posted: Updated:

North Dakota is receiving $3.1 million from the Department of Agriculture for specialty crops. That's more than a 600 percent increase from last year's amount.

The funding comes from the USDA's Specialty Crop Block Grant Program which provides funding to the North Dakota Department of Agriculture to help make sure specialty crops remain competitive with other crops.

Applications are due by May 23.  For more information visit www.nd.gov/ndda/files/Marketing/SpecialtyCropGrantManual2014RFP1.pdf.
