Freedom Riders Bike Show

Posted: Updated:

Leather vests and motorcycles filled the Ramkota this weekend for the 34th Annual Freedom Riders Bike Show.

About 3,000 people looked at custom bikes and shopped at vendor booths, but there was more to this bike show. The motorcycle club raised $47,000 for disabled veterans and presented the check today. It also donated $5,000 to Carrie's Kids charity. And members say while the bikes bring people in, the community is what makes all of it possible.

"What's awesome is the community now. They help us out, and most of the items we have in our charity auction are donated. Without the community help we wouldn't be able to raise that $47,000," says member, Marty Presler.

The Freedoms Riders have a charity ride on May 18 to benefit a local boy with cancer.
