Man Pleads Guilty To Bank Robbery Charge

Posted: Updated:

A man involved in a small town bank robbery back in October pleaded guilty in federal court today.

Around 9:30 in the morning, Rendell Hardy and his partner Satrone Boyd walked into the Northland Financial in Medina wearing Halloween masks. Hardy threatened the teller with a handgun.

The two fled the scene in a stolen vehicle and later, police identified them by a truck stop's video near the Star Lite Motel in Jamestown. The surveillance video showed them throwing the masks and a set of keys into the motel's dumpster.

Hardy was apprehended in Dickinson, and today pleaded guilty to bank robbery and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime.

Boyd's sentencing is set for April 14.
