Main Street Minute: Lulu Lane

Posted: Updated:

As the population continues to grow, Mom's and their little ones may be having a tough time trying to find clothes in the Minot area.

But with a soon-to-be baby and maternity store opening their doors this week, there will be another choice in the Magic City.

Carisa Opperude, mother and owner of Lulu Lane is unpacking last minute items before her grand opening this week.

While the store will soon be a one stop shop for expectant mothers, it wasn't always easy to find this is the area.

"As I went through my two pregnancies, I struggled to find something to wear each and everyday. And, the only other options were to shop online," says Opperude.

So, she took the plunge and opened her own shop which offers maturity and baby clothes anything from six months to six years.

As you walk into the store, you'll notice that there are a lot of locally designed items. And, the best part is, there's one for mom and one for baby.

"Pregnancy is something to be celebrated, and I want woman to be able to come here to find something fabulous to wear so that each day they step out and as they're body changes, they can look as excited as they feel about their pregnancy," says Opperude.

Lulu Lane will be open this Friday, April 11. Hours are Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. This summer, Sundays will be designated to prenatal and post pardon yoga classes.
