Game and Fish Looks For Eagle Nests

The State Game and Fish Department is asking for help in locating bald eagle nests in North Dakota.

Conservation biologist Sandra Johnson says nest can usually be found along the Missouri River or other bodies of water throughout the state and are easily recognized by the egg size. 

Johnson says the department is looking specifically for nests and not eagles. She also said that if spotted not to disturb them.

The department estimates more than 120 nests are around the state.

Nest observations should be reported to Johnson at 701-328-6382 or by email at ndgf@nd.gov.
