Perkins Advances On The Voice

Posted: Updated:

Scranton native Kat Perkins is in the next round on NBC's The Voice.

On Monday, Kat won a battle round against another contestant when they sang Kenny Loggin's and Stevie Nicks duet Whenever I Call You Friend. She enjoyed watching musical talent shows before making it on The Voice. And she says she's thankful for all the support from back home.

"I think it's probably a little bit chilly here in the winter, and especially when the shows are running. At this time people sit and they watch, and they stay home, and they vote because that's what I do. I've watched it since the beginning especially in the winter. I definitely watch more TV," says Perkins.

We'll hear more from Kat later today.
