The God's Child Project is an organization designed to better the lives and education of children and mothers struggling in five different countries. They're trending this week because, in order to keep doing the good things they do, they're holding their biggest fundraiser of the year, the annual Dream Maker's Ball.

There are more than 5,000 boys and girls in the God's Child program. Volunteers go on numerous service trips to Guatemala, Malawi, El Salvador and here in the United States. They provide schooling, assistance for women, health and just a general outreach for those who are struggling. Of course, these things come with a price tag. So, if this is something you'd like to contribute to just put on your fancy clothes and enjoy an evening out.

"It's a great way to help out, but it's a great time as well," says associate executive director, Stacy Sturm. "I feel like if you're going to donate money, you might as well get something out of it for yourself too."

"It's going to be great. We're going to have a dinner, we're going to have a dance, we're going to have a really great video that will play during the dinner," says Sturm. "It will focus on service teams because they are a huge part of our organization. So, I think people are going to get a really good idea of how important service teams are. Not just for God's Child, but for the people that go down there as well."

The Dream Maker's Ball is Saturday, March 22 at the Bismarck Ramkota Hotel. It starts at 6:00 p.m. The ball is black tie optional. Tickets are $50 or $500 for a table of 8. You can buy them online at http://www.godschild.org/ or at the God's Child Project's office at 721 Memorial HWY in Bismarck. Tickets will also be sold at the door.
