NDSU Beats Oklahoma

Posted: Updated:

It's the biggest victory in North Dakota State men's basketball history and it came in the first round of the NCAA Division One Tournament.

The Bison beat Oklahoma in overtime 80-75. The fifth-seeded Sooners took the lead for the first time in the second-half with 1:30 to play in regulation but Lawrence Alexander hit a game tying three-pointer with eleven-seconds to go to force overtime tied 66-all.

The overtime hero for NDSU was freshman Carlin Dupree. He made two free throws and the next Bison bucket to put NDSU up by 4-points. Then the Bison made enough free throws to keep the lead and advance into the next round where they'll play San Diego State on Saturday.
