Parents Immunizing Children for School

Posted: Updated:

A lot of parents are registering their children for kindergarten.

While many people get their children immunized for school in the summer, right now is a good time for your child to get their school-required immunizations.

Nursing experts at First District Health in Minot say, the sooner, the better.

"We provide immunizations all year round but we find that we get very busy in August," says Penny Hamilton, the Director of Nursing at First District Health Unit in Minot. "And so then sometimes there's a rush to get an appointment. So we just want parents to know that they can come now when they're registering their children for school and they can get their immunization up to date," Hamilton adds.

To find out more information about immunizations or to set up an appointment for you child, you can call First District Health Unit at 852-1376, or visit their website at www.fdhu.org.
