Dalrymple Creates Pride of Dakota Day

Posted: Updated:

It's officially spring. And, to help get us in the spirit, Governor Jack Dalrymple has made today Pride of Dakota Day.

Dalrymple says, this is a way to show appreciation for those who produce the food we eat. The Pride of Dakota program is now in it's 29th year and has more than 500 members.

Today at the Capitol, you can shop from more than 50. Charlotte Landsem, makes her own lefse, and says Pride of Dakota has really impacted her business.

"We just want to show what we have in North Dakota.  We have products that we're offering to you and you might not find them in stores, but you also have the face behind the product," says Charlotte Landsem.

The event is going on until 4 p.m. today. For more information on Pride of Dakota, visit prideofdakota.nd.gov.
