Author Visits Cathedral

Posted: Updated:
Some elementary students are the driving force behind a few books written by a local author.

Last year Patti Maguire Armstrong wrote a book based on real life experiences called Dear God, I Don't Get It.

She visited fourth graders at Cathedral School in Bismarck to talk about the book. The students inspired her to write another book called Dear God, You Can't Be Serious.

Armstrong visited the same kids who are now in fifth-grade today.

One of the students said the books help hone his reading skills and so much more.

"Cause it's based on her real life, but not all the problems are real. It kind of helps you if a problem in the book eventually comes to your life," says Matt Nathe of Cathedral School.

Armstrong wants to write a third book as well. The current books are available at the Rainbow Shop in Bismarck.
