Posted: Updated:

Even the girl scouts aren't exempt from fraud. Someone in Bismarck bought cookies with a counterfeit bill.

Police say a group of Girl Scouts selling cookies at Kirkwood Mall, turned in their profits  to Cornerstone Bank and a fake $20 bill showed up in the audit. The group doesn't know when or where they received the bill.

Over the weekend a fake $50 bill was reported at Kirkwood Bank and Trust, it came from Chips Casino and Lounge in Bismarck.

A teller at the bank said the bill was rejected and after examining it, determined it to be counterfeit.
