DUI Crash Destroys Home

A family of three in Oakes, N.D. was displayed after a large crash.

In the early afternoon of March 16, Dale Smith Jr., 38, drove his pickup onto Nick Podoll's lawn and into his home.

The 28-year-old home owner was there with his wife Alicia, 25, and their two-year-old daughter, when Smith's vehicle drove through the dining room, living room, bathroom and bedroom.

Podoll was struck by debris, but only suffered minor injuries and was treated at the Oakes hospital.

The driver also suffered injuries and was treated at the Fargo hospital. Smith faces charges for Driving Under the Influence.
