Hometown Violinist Performs at Belle Mehus

Posted: Updated:

The Bismarck Mandan Symphony Orchestra has performed at the Belle Mehus countless times, but the concert tonight is centered around a special guest.

Violinist Katherine Bormann is back to perform in her hometown, after landing a spot in the world renowned Cleveland orchestra. Bormann Played with the B-M-S-O for three years before going to college and Conductor, Beverly Everett, says the concert is two years in the making. The "Tour of Russia" themed concert was specially picked to highlight Bormann's talent.

"When we wanted to invite Katherine we decided that we would love for her to play the
Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto it's so beautiful it's a favorite of many people and I created the rest of the program around that in a way that would compliment that piece," says BMSO Conductor, Beverly Everett.

The concert starts at 7:30 tonight, and for upcoming concerts you can visit BismarckMandanSymphony.ord.
