Authorities Arrest Multiple People In Drug Sting

Police made four arrests near New Town this week as a part of a ongoing drug trafficking investigation called Operation Winter's End.

On March 12, a federal search warrant was issued for 8571 39th St. NW, after multiple agencies investigating this case connected the home to drug deals in Williams County, the Fort Berthold Reservation and the in Mountrail County. 

After searching the home, police seized meth and 19 firearms which lead to the arrests of Jaron Licea, 21, Jesse Licea, 23, and Kristin Gould, 22. 

All three face possession and intent to deliver charges for marijuana and meth.   

The fourth arrest was made during the search. Houston Kirkaldie, 26, is charged with assault of his dating partner resulting in substantial bodily injury, additional charges are pending. 

Operation Winter's End is an ongoing investigation and has been going on since March 2013. So far, police have made 22 arrests.
